2026 Annual Conference -
Call for Papers
We are excited to announce that the Georgia Therapeutic Recreation Association (GTRA) Annual Conference will be held at the distinguished Charlie Norwood VA Medical Centerin Augusta, Georgia, on September 18th, 2026.
As we prepare for another impactful conference, we invite professionals, educators, researchers, and practitioners in the field of therapeutic recreation to submit presentation proposals for this year's conference. This is a valuable opportunity to share your expertise, innovative programs, evidence-based practices, and research with a dynamic audience committed to advancing the field of therapeutic recreation.
Proposal Topics May Include (but are not limited to):
· Innovative clinical interventions and treatment approaches
· Inclusive recreation and adaptive sports
· Evidence-based practices in TR/RT
· Program development and evaluation
· DEI initiatives in recreational therapy
· Case studies or success stories
· Emerging trends and technologies
Submission Deadline: May 1st, 2026

Student Membership
$20/annually
A student member is any individual currently enrolled in a Therapeutic Recreation program or Recreation program with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation.
Professional Membership
$35/annually
A professional member is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) living and/or working in the state of Georgia.
Organizational Membership
$350/annually
An organizational membership is any organization interested in supporting and promoting the Therapeutic Recreation profession.
Associate Membership
$35/annually
An associate member is any individual employed full or part time in the Therapeutic Recreation field that does not meet qualifications for Professional membership.
